My name is Marshall Kent, and I've been a fully qualified and accredited trainer since 2014 with an Associate's Degree in Exercise Science, certified by ACE (American Council on Exercise), Amercian Red Cross certified in CPR/AED/First aid, a certified Sports Performance and Nutrition Specialist, a certified Pain Free Movement and Correct Exercise Specialist, and and a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. I started my coaching journey strictly doing in-person training for the last 5 years and now I'm looking to broaden my scope of practice to help people all over the world achieve their fitness goals! Whether you're just starting your fitness journey or if you're a seasoned vet, we could all use a bit of professional guidance and encouragement from time to time.  If you feel like losing a pound or two, bulking up an inch or so, looking to start your first ever exercise program - you name it - I'll give you all the best tools to succeed! 

Each exercise program for each client is individualized. No cookie cutter programs here! My goal for every client is to develop intrinsic motivation, reduce any aches or pains, become more resilient through strength training, guide you along your journey to your goals, and of course to have fun while doing it!

A Bit More About Me

Strive for Progress, Not Perfection

In 2014 is when I realized I had a passion for helping others to become more fit. I have been rather fit my entire life, but I do come from a family background of obesity and chronic illnesses. I became certified through NFPT and shortly after decided to continue my education at Lansing Community College in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. During the years of my schooling I became certified through ACE while also gaining knowledge in exercise anatomy & physiology, general nutrition, sports & exercise nutrition, sports strength & conditioning, how to train individuals with chronic diseases and disabilities, completed an internship at Sparrow Hospital in their Bariatrics/Weight Management division, and gained knowledge in the most proven and effective training strategies. On top of all of that I am also a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition.  

I believe living a healthy lifestyle begins with maintaining a strong and fit body. My aim is to help you identify your fitness goals, design an exercise program that fits your needs, and guide you through your journey. I use exercise science and functional strength training for the most effective results.

  • I believe in helping people who are seeking a more fit life but can't find the help and support they need.

  • I believe you deserve the best quality training for your time and money.

  • If you're 15 or if you're 65 you will be trained like an athlete.

  • You can't out-train a bad diet; that's why I don't believe in "diets," rather, seeking a healthier life through developing better habits.

  • Be strong, move often, and move well.

  • If you only have time to workout once a week, it should be through strength training.

  • Don't work till failure, but to challenge.

  • Lift heavy and lift often.

  • Everyone has something to work on that they can improve over time.

Workout at a gym or from home (or both)

These resistance training programs are designed to build strength, build muscle, burn calories, and improve cardiovascular function. I'll get you primped for your workout with a dynamic warm-up, activation drills, followed by your resistance training programs tailored to your goals.

  • 8 week resistance training program

8 Weeks of Online Coaching (RUSVM ONLY)

Get off that roller-coaster and learn how to eat to support your goals long-term along with results driven and personalized workouts to meet your goals.
